Every riyal or dirham you spend on shipping directly affects your profit margins. With increasing delivery costs, managing shipping expenses has become a necessity, not a luxury.
That’s why Salla introduced the tier pricing system for shipping labels, allowing you to reduce shipping costs gradually as your store grows. Instead of relying on random discounts, this system rewards your store’s shipping performance with clear, structured pricing tiers.
The result? More issued labels means lower shipping costs, better savings, and stronger competitiveness in the market.

What is the tier pricing system?
The tier pricing system is a performance-based pricing model for Salla shipping labels. It works by tracking the number of shipping labels issued from your store over the last three months. As your shipping volume increases, your store automatically moves into a lower-cost tier.
This means:
- Higher shipping activity = lower label prices
- Better savings over time
- More profit retained from every order
Shipping tier levels
Salla offers three main pricing tiers:
Tier 1
If your store issued 1,000 labels or fewer during the last three months:
- SAR/AED 24 per label (base weight, excluding VAT)
- SAR/AED 8 Cash on Delivery fee
- +1% of the transaction value (excluding VAT)
Tier 2
If your store issued between 1,001 and 3,000 labels during the last three months:
- SAR/AED 20 per label (base weight, excluding VAT)
- SAR/AED 6 Cash on Delivery fee
- +1% of the transaction value (excluding VAT)
Tier 3
If your store issued more than 3,000 labels during the last three months:
- SAR/AED 18 per label (base weight, excluding VAT)
- SAR/AED 4 Cash on Delivery fee
- +1% of the transaction value (excluding VAT)
Each tier represents a new opportunity to reduce costs and reinvest more into your store’s growth.
Note: The Cash on Delivery fees listed above currently apply to Aymakan labels and may vary depending on the shipping carrier.

How to view your store’s pricing tier

Frequently asked questions
Which shipping carriers are included in the tier pricing system?
The tier pricing system applies only to the following carriers:
- Aramex Local
- J&T
- AyMakan
- DHL Local
- Shipa
Other carriers such as SMSA and RedBox are not included, as they operate with fixed pricing that does not change by tier.
How is my store’s tier calculated?
Your tier is determined based on the month with the highest label volume during the last three months.
Example: If your store issued the most labels in November, that month will be used to calculate your tier, even if the other months were lower.

What if my store has never purchased a shipping label?
If your store has not issued any Salla shipping labels yet, an informational banner will appear explaining the tier pricing system.

Are all Salla shipping carriers included in tier pricing?
All carriers are included except SMSA (International, Standard, and Economy), which follows a fixed-rate pricing model.
How are return shipping fees deducted?
If a customer does not receive the shipment under express delivery, return fees may apply.
In such cases, the merchant will be charged:
- 50% of the label price, based on the store’s current tier
These fees apply only for carriers that enforce return charges.
If my store has special negotiated pricing, which price will apply?
The system will always apply the lower price between:
- Your special pricing
- The tier pricing rate
When is the merchant tier updated?
Your tier is updated automatically at the beginning of every calendar month.
Does tier pricing apply to international shipping?
No. Tier pricing applies only to local shipping.
Are tier prices considered during weight correction adjustments?
Yes. Any weight correction adjustments will take into account the tier-based price applied when the label was purchased.
