Some of your app details are locked the moment your app goes live - and buying an update is how you unlock them.
The app data update service lets you change the core details of your store app after it has been launched: the app icon, the app name, the subtitle, the description and even the screenshots, so your listing keeps up with your brand. In this guide, you'll learn what the service covers, the two conditions that make the package appear in your dashboard, and how to buy an update step by step.
The app data update service is available to merchants whose app is already published or launched on the app stores. Buying it reopens the fields that were locked at publication - icon, names, subtitle, description, keywords, policy links and screenshots - and once you save and click (Launch app), the app goes back through review and relaunch.

๐ฏ What is the app data update service?
The app data update service appears for merchants who already have an app published or launched on the app stores. It lets you change the details that cannot otherwise be edited after publication:
- App icon
- App name, and the app name shown on the phone
- App subtitle, description and keywords
- Privacy policy and support page links
- The screenshots you designed for the app stores
โ When does the app data update package appear?
1. Your app subscription is active.
2. Your app has already been launched on the app stores.
Once you have bought the update, changed your notifications or any other data, saved it and clicked (Launch app), the app follows the normal cycle from review through to relaunch.
๐ฃ How to buy an app data update
1. From the side menu of your store dashboard, click (App Maker).

2. On the App Maker page, once your app status is launched, an update button appears at the bottom of the page next to (Save settings). [Verify: the Arabic source leaves this button label blank.]

3. Choose the payment method that suits you. If you have a discount coupon for the Salla store, enter the coupon details and click (Apply).

4. Complete the payment details. You can then update your app data, starting again from stage 1.

The data is now entered exactly the way you entered it when you published the app for the first time.
๐ Important note
Click (Save data) before (Launch app). If you skip the save, the request goes out with the old values and is rejected for being identical to what is already published.

โ Frequently asked questions
Does an update request go through the same stages as the app service I bought the first time?
Yes. Salla Team verifies the data you entered and contacts you if anything breaks the rules, then the request goes to Apple and Google for review, and finally to launch.
Do I have to enter my data again when I buy the app data update service?
Yes. Enter the data you want to change, replace the icon if you want a new one, then click (Save data) followed by (Launch app).
Can my updates be rejected?
Yes. A data update goes through the same stages as publishing the app, and updated data can be rejected for being identical to the old data - which happens when (Save data) was not clicked before (Launch app).
Where do I see the team's notes on my request?
In App Maker. Notifications appear as a count on the App Maker tab, and the messages sit in the chat log below your app design.
The app data update service gives you full flexibility to manage your store app after launch, so it stays current and consistent with your store's identity.
๐ช Use it to keep improving your app, strengthen how it presents in the app stores, and give customers an experience that matches the quality of your brand.
